 All students must fill out the policy acceptance form.   You will sign a paper copy at the studio.

TUITION AND INVOICING
  • Tuition Invoices are sent via email each month.  If you do not receive an invoice, your tuition is still due on the first of the month.
  • Tuition may be pro-rated for the first month's lessons
  • We have a very liberal makeup policy, so we don't offer refunds on tuition - please schedule a makeup instead.
OTHER CHARGES
  • Late pick ups. We charge the current rate for each 15 minutes late.
  • Late fee for unpaid charges $20.00 per each month with an overdue balance (14 day grace period from due date).
  • Bounced checks incur a $20 administrative fee along with any associated charges to us from our financial institution.
  • You agree to promptly pay any damages to instruments, furnishings or anything on the premises damaged by you or your children.

MAKEUPS AND RESCHEDULING
  • Tuition must be current to schedule makeups.
  • Advance notice is required when canceling a lesson (except in dire emergencies).
  • Makeups can be accumulated, but expire if you stop paying tuition, even temporarily.
  • Makeups can not be used in lieu of tuition and have no cash value.
  • Makeups are available during normal business hours (openings for new students and times created by other student cancellations).
  • Piano students should follow instructions on our rescheduling calendar, but drum students should talk with their teacher to reschedule.
  • Students should schedule makeups for teacher cancellations and studio closures as well as student cancellations.
STUDIO ETIQUETTE
  • Please be quiet when entering and leaving so as to not disrupt piano lessons.
  • Keep the waiting room door closed to avoid disturbing lessons.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed.
  • Respect all persons, property and instruments.
  • Observers in the lesson studio must be silent so as not to disrupt concentration of teacher and student.
  • All students should wash their hands thoroughly with soap and warm water just before their lessons.
  • We try to start and end lessons on time, but sometimes we run a few minutes late.  If you need to leave on time, please let us know when you first come into the studio.
PARENTAL SUPERVISION
  • There is a waiting room for parents and siblings.  Please keep voices low, and close the door, as voices carry into the piano studio.
  • Ask any questions at the start of the lesson so the teacher has time to answer.
  • You are responsible for your children and their behavior at all times.
  • The studio bears no liability for children left unattended.  
LEARNING OR DEVELOPMENTAL CHALLENGES
  • We strive to help all students as individuals
  • If we understand more about your child when we start teaching him or her, we can modify how we present material and adjust expectations according to each child's current potential.
  • Please tell us if your child has any challenges regarding:
                    Learning or understanding
                    Communicating
                    Behavior
                    Health or safety

DISCONTINUING LESSONS
  • If you have extenuating circumstances, please let us help find a solution.
  • Please let us try to resolve misunderstandings.
  • Your last month's tuition is payable in full.

  • If you have any questions that your teacher can't provide.
  • If you are discontinuing lessons, even temporarily.

  • The current policy is available on this website.
  • We may update or change our policy at any time, with or without notice.
